Getting ready for a BIG weekend!

Tonight we are going down to Paris, TX to see Aunt Tiffy and Uncle Tofer! This is an exciting trip for 3 reasons:

1. To see my sister of course! My pregnant Sister, peanut and Kris.
2. For the Calvary Chapel Harvest Festival tomorrow night, my Monkey will be dressed as a Monkey in the suit pictured below...
3. Johnny will be visiting with his Aunt and Uncle ALL week next week while Mom and Dad continue life's activities as normal :)
I will have pictures of his fun week when we return with him as well as some fun times with Mom and Dad just being John and Carrie for a week :D (I'm a little nervous but trying to stay strong!)

We went to Chuck E Cheese's for the first time with Johnny this last weekend and he had a blast!! Here are some pictures!
Excited to go play games and ride the rides!

He loved this ride!

Loves his cars! TOTAL Daddy's boy!

Johnny loves slides, he'll throw himself down em', NO FEAR!

Welcome Fall!

Is it wrong to go to a pumpkin patch and take lots of pictures just to leave an hour later with no pumpkins?

Busy busy...

Well we've been pretty busy in the Ryan house the last 2 weeks and this week isn't looking any lighter! At least for mommy it isn't. Johnny had a cold and got over it pretty quickly but not without passing it along to mommy and daddy :( All is well though, we shall survive this time.
John and I have some pretty big life decisions to make before long. I think its funny how often plans change even though the destination remains the same. It may not be the last time "plans" change but this is certainly not the first version of this plan. I guess God liked the beginning of the plan but not the middle. I have to say I agree with him. The middle never sat well with me but the original plan got us where we are right now so its not all that bad right? I know I'm not making any sense to most of you but it has to do with life and our plan for its projection. School, work and family planning. All of it really.
On a clearer note we are super excited for our trip to California for Christmas. 2 whole weeks! We will be out there from the 18th until New Years Day. Johnny will turn 1 on December 3rd and though we will have a party for him here at home that weekend we are planning a California party for him. It will be on Sunday the 20th in the afternoon on the mountain. I'm SO excited to see all our family and lifetime friends!

Enjoy these pictures from the weekend!

"John, it's too quiet", Low and behold, our booger!

This is how sicky nap time works without a rocking chair :)

This is the part of life called "homework" more specifically "8 page lab paper"

More to come!

Thing 1 and Thing 2

They are already buds, soon they'll be best buds! We have made friends with the Vinning's and we are so excited to be spending so much time with them lately. Tyler and Madison have been married a year today, go them! Their adorable little man is Caden. He is 5 days younger than Johnny. Madison was 11 days past her due date and I was 2 weeks early. Funny how that works out! Madison and I met on CafeMom a little over a year ago. Neither of us logged onto CafeMom frequently at all so our conversations would span months at a time. Finally we added each other on Facebook, (thank God for Facebook huh?) and since then have become fast friends. Our kiddo's love to play together! It's going to be a great relationship. I'm sure you all will be seeing more of these two together soon!

Pearly Whites and Cars

John and I, (by the grace of God!) were able to get a second car. John is commuting to Okmulgee 45 minutes away for school every day. He just started our 2 year journey in the Toyota/Lexis/Scion program. I certainly can't complain, it's not 12 years, Jules! I'm sure we will embark on more John issued journey's but for now it's a short one. Anyways, back to John's new car.
It's not a 2003 Nissan 350Z RIP (LOL)
But it's a 1989 Toyota Supra 5 speed turbo with a target top. haha, I hope I said it right, it matters! Ha-ha! I adore my car enthused husband!!

Johnny has got some nice and sharp pearly whites now. I asked my mom casually one day if we should start brushing them and very casually she replied, "You only have to brush the ones you want to keep". Childhood memories came rushing back at that moment. So this week we introduced to Johnny how much fun brushing is!! Enjoy the captured memories!

He was actually pretty mad here. I asked dad for a picture of his teeth and he thought it was more urgent than it was. When he found out it was for my blog and not the doctor or something.... let's just say I owe him some kisses!

He looks so old here. It kills me. Before we know it, it will be time to have his 1st birthday. My heart is full of joy!

We do this every morning!

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Arkansas for the long weekend on a mission. Well, four mission's, in order; Meet Mike's girlfriend, Natalie (Mike is John's older brother), Spend time with the family, Go to Lost Valley, and Shop at the outlets in Branson! We did all of the above. Natalie won our hearts, not that she needed to but she did. We enjoyed all the weekends adventures with them. We spent time on the ATV, that is always fun. It was Johnny's first ride and he enjoyed the part he wasn't sleeping. LOL, only my son could sleep while ruffing it on the "old people's" 4-wheeler! Lost Valley was great. I am still feeling sore from the hike but it was worth it. Thanks to the men we hiked up the dried creek bed, much harder than the trail. 2 or so miles up and we found our water fall. It was gorgeous and my first waterfall over 3 feet. SB mountain creeks don't compare. My only regret is not getting enough pictures, next time!! Branson was great, found some awesome buys and it turned out to be a great scouting adventure. I am planning a Jennings Family Reunion for next August (my dad's side) and we chose Branson. That is going to be exciting!

This was just before our first adventure on the ATV as a little family.

This is Mike and Natalie before the hike.
This was our prize for the long hike!

Johnny out of his carrier long enough to play in the water and make us a present in his diaper worthy of a clothes change lol.

What a hike!

Finally Reading

I could never figure out how and when to read to Johnny. It was hard starting it up but with the advice of friends we just picked it up one day. Johnny will listen to me read and point for about 4 seconds and then all he wants to do is eat the books but hey, it's a start! If you look closely in this first picture you can see his little tooth. Yes he got it a couple weeks ago. I have been meaning to blog about it but haven't, so here it is all; JOHNNY GOT HIS FIRST TOOTH! It was one Loonnggggg night but we produced our first tooth! For a while he would just sit and stick his tongue in and out of his mouth to feel his new sharp addition in his tiny little mouth! It's never a dull moment in our house!

The End. :)
